Can you believe all of the stunning weather we have experienced over the bank holidays this May? We had another beautiful 3 days here in the south and I was very happy to spend a lot of it basking in the sunshine! Though it hasn’t seemed to have stayed during this week, which is fine as I am spending the majority of it in the office, so I’m not really missing out on much. Hopefully the sun will be back this weekend though.
With all of this nice weather we’ve been having over the bank holidays I have been enjoying plenty of family time with BBQs, celebrating birthdays and heading to some of mine and Al’s favourite spots. Even though the weather has been glorious it has also been a little unpredictable and my saviour for when the clouds come over and the breeze picks up is this super simple white cardigan from Matalan – It’s white, a little slouchy with fine detailing, making it the perfect little cover-up for lots of spring/summer outfits. I feel like cardigans aren’t considered a very ‘cool’ or ‘trendy’ item clothing but I find them really practical for layering up and for just covering my shoulders – They’re also fab for work too.
As for the rest of the outfit details, I bought this skirt months ago in Sainsbury’s sale and was just waiting for the some decent weather and the right occasion to wear it. It’s got beautiful embroidered detailing in lilac, muted mustard, turquoise, green and cream shades, with an A-line shape and a mini length. I’ve paired it with a simple white blouse with eyelet detailing, my ASOS brogues and this simple to-handle tote from Primark which I love!
