There is nothing I love more than finding an outfit that is easy to throw on, comfortable to wear on a casual Sunday but still makes me feel chic and looks like I’ve put a little more thought into my outfit. (I mean, don’t we all love those outfits?) These types of outfits are perfect for running errands, heading out for a pub lunch on a Sunday or throwing on to chill in the garden on a Saturday afternoon.
These shorts I purchased recently from New Look a few weeks ago; they’re a pale blue/grey check which give them a more ‘tailored/formal’ vibe which is what makes them look less casual than they actually are. They fit high-waisted which I love, and they have a paper-bag style waist which I feel adds a little personality to them, and paper-bag waist are a key trend again this season. They are a little shorter than I’d like but that’s probably because I’m tall, so would be fine on an average height. I believe they also have a matching jacket too – so could potentially work for workwear depending on what your office dress-code is.
For this outfit I simply paired them with one of my simple white blouses that have been in my wardrobe for a good few years; this particular one features eyelet detailing which makes it look and feel pretty and feminine – Love it!
