I’m constantly taking inspiration from the 40’s, 50’s and 60’s, they are without a doubt my favourite fashion eras, if you head over to my Pinterest you will find me constantly pinning to my boards or on Instagram you will see my adding inspo to my stories.
Denim pinafores were huge in the 60’s as were scarfs/bandannas in your hair, so with the glorious weather we had over the bank holiday weekend, it was the perfect time for me to put a new 60’s inspired outfit together. When I stepped out in this outfit Al actually said to me ‘it’s like your Pinterest has come to life’ – best compliment ever!
You may recognise this denim pinafore from my latest wishlist, it’s from New Look and I love it! Thought it is rather thick and I did get quite hot wearing this in 22 degree heat. I simply paired it with a white tee from Primark, my trusty brogues from ASOS – honestly this shoes are SO comfortable, they have become my go-to shoe on the weekend so prepare to see them a lot! Another recent new accessory is this straw bag from Zara, as I’ve said before it is the perfect size for weekend errands. Lastly, this faux silk scarf is another bargain from Primark which I am obsessed with wearing in my hair at the moment, either like this or with my hair in a pony tail – I think it just makes the perfect accessory and is a little different.
I hope you all enjoyed the beautiful weather we have had recently – Speak soon!
