The good old British weather really has had us on our toes at the moment; March started with snow followed by beautiful clear blue skies and then plenty of rain the past couple of days – We really have experienced it all in the past couple of weeks. With the weather changing daily it can be hard to know what to wear, what to buy and what to have in your wardrobe, its that lingo time where we’re slowly coming into spring but winter weather is lingering.
Since mid February I have slowly but surely started building up my spring wardrobe but never having the time to wear my new pieces on the weekend due to it always deciding to rain at the end of the week, also making it harder to get outfit photographs to even write a post – The struggles of content creating, eh!
Because of the weather is in-between the two seasons, I have been trying to dress appropriate for the temperature outside (which is actually starting to increase, finally!), but also have the spring vibes intertwined. The outfit I am sharing with you today features one of my absolute favourite new pieces that I have been super excited to wear – Yes, you guessed it this BRIGHT pink jumper from Zara.
I ordered this piece online last weekend and it arrived at the beginning of this week and since then I have just been waiting and waiting for the weekend to wear it, as it is not quite workwear appropriate for my Monday-Friday job. It’s thick, oversized and so cosy; I’ve paired it simply with Topshop Joni Jeans, my new ASOS brogues and the bag I shared in my previous outfit post. For 80% off the week I am in dresses/skirts as they are primarily the garments I genuinely LOVE to wear but there has to be something said about a casual outfit dressed up a little with smart brogues and structured satchel – I think it’s a classic, chic, go-to outfit perfect for the weekends. I love this outfit for those weekend days where you’re running a few errands, a little retail therapy (always) followed by a pub lunch – Perfect!
But, I don’t think this jumper would be quite as chic if it wasn’t so bright, bold and very very pink. However, it’s because of that I bought it and have fallen so in love with it. It makes spring feel a much more here than it actually is and it also adds hope to the days when spring is in full swing.
