NEW IN: Jo Malone, English Pear & Freesia

I’ve wanted a Jo Malone perfume for a few years now and on the weekend I took the plunge and purchased one. I don’t know what took me so long to be honest, I think it’s because I like to spend my wages on clothes and cheaper items so it’s like I’ve bought more – D’ya get me?

Lately I’ve been trying to cut down on wasting my money and actually trying to invest it in key pieces for the season and more expensive items that I will cherish and relish more.

I headed straight for this scent; English Pear & Freesia and didn’t bother smelling/testing any others I knew this was the one I wanted. Now, according to Jo Malone this particular scent is ‘the essence of autumn’ – which initially made me think GODDAMIT that means I can’t buy it because it is now spring!! And, if you know me well then you know that I LIVE BY the seasons. Every new season I have a wardrobe clear out, get new seasonal bed sheets and every other season mix up cushions etc. BUT I’m trying to not be so anal about these things and bought it anyway. I am so glad I did ‘cause I truly love the scent – I guess it just means that I’ll have to buy another that is ‘the essence of spring’ (good excuse, huh?!)

I would attempt to describe the luscious scent myself but that’d just be an EPIC fail and after all, Jo Malone describes them so well….

“ The sensuous freshness of just-ripe pears is wrapped in a bouquet of white freesias, and mellowed by amber, patchouli and woods. Luscious and golden.”

Now I just need the matching candle, body cream – oh and of course the bigger bottle!
